Kid's Church & Nursery
Children's Ministry of COTRM

On Sunday mornings, you have the opportunity to keep your children with you during the service or allow them to be cared for and taught the Word of God at Kid's Church.

The Nursery ​is for ages 0-2. You may bring your child in any time during or just before the service.

Ages 3-5 will be allowed to join their teacher and go to their classroom after worship. We love to worship together as a family. This age group does a fun bible study, crafts, and sometimes videos.

Ages 6-12 will be allowed to join their teacher and go to their classroom after worship. We love to worship together as a family.

​The Church on the Rock Children's Ministry shares the vision of the rest of the church: Encounter God, Love People, Share Life.  We believe that children can Encounter God in the same measure as adults which will result in having a greater love for others and thus a desire to share the gift of God's grace with those in our spheres (even if our spheres are just home and preschool). 

But we also believe that Encountering God does NOT mean pretending to be a serious adult.  God is a good Father, full of joy, who places great emphasis on His beloved children.  And so, as leaders, we try to tap into the heart of God and create a safe environment full of JOY!  We have lots of fun.  We get silly.  Sometimes we play games.  But all the while we are learning how to Encounter God through the Scriptures.  

The Word of God is KEY in our children's ministry.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.  The Scripture gives us the ability to "hear" what the Holy Spirit is saying to our spirits (that we are children of God) which in turn grows our faith.  

One of the ways in which we Share Life is by praying for one another. The kids are taught to minister to each other.  A very big God lives in each little child who wants to partner with them in helping others.

We do not specifically or regularly use any particular curriculum other than the Bible.  We may use curriculum for a season but often we just seek Jesus for our weekly plans.  

May we, as adults, learn from these children to whom the Kingdom of Heaven belongs!   ​
