PLEASE NOTE: We do not currently have a functioning Young Adults Group.
Our desire is to be a safe place away from the noise for Young Adults ages 18-27 to come to learn about God and what the Bible says about life. Our main Young Adults meeting is on the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights from 6:00-9:00 PM at COTRM.
Being a Young Adult in this day and age is tough! So for one, we have dinner every Young Adults meeting. We know it’s tough to be on a college student’s budget! All we ask is that you bring a side if you are able. We value community and getting to know one another, so for the first hour of our meeting we eat, introduce new people, and catch up with one another. The second part of our meeting is devoted to studying God’s word and answering the hard questions young adults face.
The media comes at young adults from every angle pushing its thoughts and ideas into our heads through school, our workplace, social media, and other media outlets. As Young Adults we need to equip ourselves with the truth of God’s word to know how to defend our faith in these perilous times. We use a discussion format to promote conversation based on the Bible, but not one sided arguments. We want to challenge our thinking with the Word of God and see what the truth really is.
The third element to our Young Adult meeting is live worship. We love to enter into God’s presence through acoustic worship led by one of our Young Adults. It’s a must for our group! The order of our meeting can vary, as we are such a diverse group, but those three elements are always involved!
Now don’t get us wrong, we love to have fun! Every Thursday night at 7:30 PM we meet for coffee (at Starbucks on Palm Bay Rd) just to hang out and get to know one another. Also, the 2nd Friday of each month we have our “2nd Friday Fellowship”, which changes locations and activities every month.
