The news concerning our nation and the corruption in our government is very discouraging and can even be depressing. Regardless of whether we live in a great country or a bad one, we are called as sojourners in the land. This is not our country, we belong to another Kingdom. Our calling is to help establish the order of this heavenly Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. Yes, the loss we are experiencing as a nation is sad and unnecessary, but the Kingdom of God is advancing. God's will, will come about.

Psa 18:46 The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation, God is the rock on which we stand. He is our stability and our source of strength. We must build our lives on the rock of Christ and not the shifting sands of this world. That process begins with our worship- exalting God and humbling our hearts. I thank God that His resurrection life is alive in me and His Spirit is giving life to my mortal body. I am filled to overflowing with His abundant life. My life is in God's hands- every part of my life- physical, spiritual, mental, emotional. Do I trust Him with every area of my life? I thank God that the curse of death has been broken off of me through the blood of Christ. I will not judge my life by my symptoms or my circumstances, but by the hope I have in Christ.
It was good to focus on the resurrection in our prayers at MyHop tonight. There is such hope that is provided in the resurrection. The hope for resurrection is not just for the future, it is for the present as well. Resurrection life is alive in me NOW. I walk in resurrection life. That life affects every area of my life. My heart should never despair but always be filled with hope. I have neither the right to despair nor reason to despair. Thank you Lord.
